Bhaath Powder

Preparation time : 2 minutes
Cooking time : 10 minutes

Ingredients

1 cup urad dhal
1 cup channa dhal
1.5 cups dhaniya
red chillies according to taste

Method

  1. Fry urad dhal till golden and keep aside

  2. Fry channa dhal till golden and keep aside

  3. Fry dhaniya till you get good aroma and keep aside

  4. Fry red chillies and keep aside

  5. Combine all ingredients and grind to a coarse powder

Store the powder in a dry airtight container.

Notes

  1. The powder has a good shelf life as you are dry roasting each of the ingredients separately.
  2. Measurement of urad dhal, channa dhal and dhaniya is 1:1: little less than 1.5
  3. If you are using byadige chillies, use a slightly more quantity as compared to normal red chillies.
  4. Byadige chillies give a strong red color. If you are using it, the colour of the powder will differ slightly.
