Coriander Chutney

Ingredients

2 cups rough chopped coriander
1 cup coconut pieces
3-4 green chillies
Tamarind as per your taste
Salt to taste
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 red chillie split into two
A pinch of asafetida

Method

  1. In a mixer jar, take coriander, coconut, tamarind, salt and green chillies.
  2. Grind once without water to a coarse paste.
  3. Add a little water and grind again. Let the chutney remain coarse.
  4. In a frying pan, heat oil and add the mustard seeds. Let them splutter.
  5. Add the red chillies and asafetida.
  6. Add this tempering to the ground chutney.
Serve coriander chutney with hot dosas or idlis.
