Preparation time : 5 minutes
Ingredients
2 cups rough chopped coriander
1 cup coconut pieces
3-4 green chillies
Tamarind as per your taste
Salt to taste
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 red chillie split into two
A pinch of asafetida
Method
- In a mixer jar, take coriander, coconut, tamarind, salt and green chillies.
- Grind once without water to a coarse paste.
- Add a little water and grind again. Let the chutney remain coarse.
- In a frying pan, heat oil and add the mustard seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add the red chillies and asafetida.
- Add this tempering to the ground chutney.
Serve coriander chutney with hot dosas or idlis.
