Palak Coriander Paratha

Ingredients

2 cups chopped palak
4-5 green chillies
1 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
2-3 tbsps jeera
1 tbsp garam masala powder
2.5 cups wheat flour
Salt to taste
Water for kneading (if required)
Oil for frying paranthas

Method

  1. In a blender, make a fine paste of palak and green chillies and transfer to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add coriander leaves, garam masala powder, wheat flour, cumin seeds and salt.
  3. Knead to a soft chapathi dough.
  4. Rest the dough for ten minutes.
  5. Take small rolls of the dough and roll the dough to a circle using the rolling pin.
  6. Fry paranthas with oil on both sides.
  7. Repeat the procedure to make paranthas with the remaining dough.
Delicious palak coriander parathas are ready to serve.
Notes
  1. Use the stems of palak while blending. Do not discard it.
  2. Use only the leaves of coriander.
  3. Use the stems of coriander to make chutney. Check palak corainder chutney recipe here. You may also want to try Coriander Chutney.
  4. Do not use water while making the palak paste.
  5. Adjust the water or wheat flour quantity while mixing the dough.
